Volunteering to Help People Cut Waste

RoWAN have recently has received further funding from Zero Waste Scotland to recruit and work with volunteers in the Highlands to help spread the word on how people can cut waste by: cutting food waste, composting and using peat-free compost, reducing unwanted mail and recycling more. Mailing Preference Service (MPS)

mailing preference logoThe Mailing Preference Service (MPS) is a free service set up 20 years ago and funded by the direct mail industry to enable consumers to have their names and home addresses in the UK removed from or added to lists used by the industry. It is actively supported by the Royal Mail and all directly involved trade associations and fully supported by The Information Commissioners Office.

Mailing Preference Service supports your right to choose the mail you want.

Unwanted Mail

Recycling junk mail is better than sending it to landfill but there are often enveloppes and plastic wrappings that can't be recycled easily and then there is the fuel used in transporting this unwanted mail to your house and removing it from your house. So stop unwanted mail being stop the droptransported to you in the first place by:
