Magazines

Hand them on to friends and family or donate them to a medical surgery. Brightly coloured sections may make interesting wrapping paper. Magazines may also be useful for craft activities at play groups and primary schools – find out if they could use any. Use about six layers as a mulch in the garden to suppress weeds. You can also use them in paper log makers (see Suppliers section), although magazine pages may take longer to pulp than newspaper, so you may wish to pulp them separately or mix small amounts with newspaper.

Magazines can also be recycled at Recycling Centres and Points (at present there is no need to segregate them from paper).
