Have you ever purchased an Easter egg, only to be disappointed by the amount of chocolate you actually get, once you have unwrapped it from all the packaging? Plastic, foil and cardboard often stand in the way of you and your hollow egg. ..or egg filled with a few individually packaged treats inside. The weight of all that packaging adds up quickly and often it outweighs the amount of chocolate you are getting. You end up paying for packaging rather than chocolate! Read more

Smart Living @ Eastgate

Smart Living at EastgateOn 6th-8th May, RoWAN will be hosting a Smart Living exhibition at Eastgate Shopping Centre in parntership with several waste aware organisations. Including: New Start Highland, Energy Savings Trust, Highland Council, Highland Real Nappy Project, Master Composter, Zero Waste Scotland (WRAP), New Start Bikes and Friends of the Earth Inverness.

There will be giveaways, student films, entertaining displays, an auction and a couple of fashion shows.  And of course, lots of helpful information on how we can all help make a difference to the amount of waste we produce through our choices and understanding of what services are available.

RoWAN at the Inverness Coop Members' Meeting

On Saturday 17th October, the Coop hosted its members' meeting at the Royal Highland Hotel.  In addition to the meeting there were a variety of exhibitors, including: Energy Savings Trust, Highland Real Nappy Project, Friends of the Earth, Community Energy Scotland and RoWAN.
