Plastic bottles

Try to avoid using plastic bottles by using refillable bottles instead. Even by reusing one plastic bottle over a week instead of buying a new one each day will cut down plastic waste and save you money.

Plastic bottles (PET1 (clear drinks bottles) and HDPE(eg milk bottles))  are collected in the Highland Council kerkside blue bin collection or can be taken to Alness, Dingwall, Inverness and Tain recycling centres  - please remember to remove the tops, rinse and squash the bottles.

Plastic milk bottle tops are no longer collected by  Stornoway plastics.
