Furniture
A campaign encouraging people across the Highlands to stop wasting good quality furniture and household goods and instead donate them to those in need has been launched (sept 09) in Inverness. For details click on the Highland Council or Waste Aware Scotland pages.
Furniture in good condition may be passed on to friends, sold either at auction, through advertising or via second-hand retailers, or may be donated to charitable organisations. Blythswood, New Start, Oxfam and the British Red Cross will all accept items of furniture.
You can sell office furniture through adverts or auction rooms; also consider donating it to charity shops or to a charitable organisation – some may welcome donations for use in their own office.
